Is anybody else using egg yolk as their primary washing method? If so, do you have any concerns about the safety of using raw eggs? I buy organic free-range eggs, which I understand significantly reduces the risk of salmonella. I also wash the outside of the shell before cracking. However, as far as I know, there's no way to 100% remove the risk of salmonella from a raw egg... I feel somewhat conflicted about this. I'm willing to take the risk when I eat certain foods (like chocolate mousse), but I only do that a few times a year. I have to say that egg yolk is the only wash that has worked for me long term. BS is far too harsh on my hair. Any sulphate free shampoo tends to leave my hair looking limp and greasy. Egg yolk leaves my hair looking glossy and clean.
I'm wondering what other people's thoughts are on the subject.
